Achromatic

I was incredibly privileged to be the scriptwriter, concept artist and modeller for the sadly cancelled short film: Achromatic! This design and those which I will upload next were all placed in my care to be done, along with the attentive and skillful eye of the movies director and artistic director Daria Burdukovskaya (https://www.artstation.com/kara-delris). Despite the movies unfortunate end I enjoyed every second designing characters for this wild universe. The movie was set in a world in which only 2 colors existed, blue and pink. Yet our main character Violet, designed by Daria was stuck between both colors, yet felt like she belonged to none. The story would have followed Violets challenging journey to finding her place in her world!

Cerulean turnaround, I had so much fun making this character, I felt I encompassed his devious nature well. Yet while making the 3D version we quickly realized there were elements which would cause difficulties for riggers, leading to a simpler design.

This was the first thumb-nailing and sketching exploration done on the character Cerulean. The antagonist within Achromatic, I had a lot of guidance from the short films art director Daria Burdukovskaya.

In the first versions of the script Cerulean would transform into a ghastly creature to scare away the pink characters in the story.

This was the simplicity pass where, with the guidance of our artistic director Daria Burdukovskaya, worked to keep Ceruleans devious aura while making him more humanoid to make animation easier!
